Applying for the EU Settlement Scheme
Most people needed to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme by 30 June 2021. However, depending on your circumstances, you may be still able to apply. Find out more about applying to the EU Settlement Scheme.
If you have pre-settled status
You can usually apply for settled status once you’ve lived in the UK for 5 years in a row and have continued to meet the eligibility requirements. It’s free to apply. If you have not switched from pre-settled status to settled status the Home Office will extend your pre-settled status by 5 years just before it’s due to expire.
